For a production order of 1,500 units, an inspector randomly pulls 125 garments from master export cartons using ISO 2859-1 Level II. If 8 or more Major defects (e.g. hole, shaded panel, out-of-spec POM) are found, the shipment is rejected and must be 100% sorted by the factory.
Critical Defects (Broken Needles / Bio-hazard): 0 allowed (Zero Tolerance)

For bulk shipments over 2,000 units, consider hiring an independent agency (e.g. QIMA, SGS, Bureau Veritas) to run standard ISO 2859-1 AQL 2.5 random sampling on-site.

01
Dimensions & POM Measurement
Measured on a flat, tension-free table straight down to the hem. Verify within ±1.0 cm of the approved tech pack.
Measure straight across from side-seam to side-seam 2.5 cm below armhole junction. Tolerance: ±1.0 cm.
Shoulder seam-to-seam span and sleeve length from shoulder point to cuff edge within ±0.5 cm.
Neck opening passes head pull-over test without popped stitching; rib neckband snaps back flat without wavy bacon necking.
Fold garment in half lengthwise. Confirm sleeve lengths, armhole depths, and hem drops match within 3 mm from left to right.
02
Stitching, Seam Strength & Assembly
Use stitch gauge magnifier: overlock seams 10–12 SPI, topstitching 10–12 SPI, coverstitch 10–12 SPI. Consistent tension throughout.
Inspect interior looper threads along side seams, armholes, and hems. Zero dropped looper threads or needle misfires allowed.
Grasp side seams and neckband firmly and stretch vigorously to test looper thread elasticity. Zero cracking or popped threads.
All loose thread tails at collar corners, sleeve ends, and hems trimmed to under 5 mm. No hanging thread clusters.
Self-fabric or herringbone tape cleanly covers back neck seam from left shoulder to right shoulder without bubbling.
03
Fabric Weight, Handfeel & Dye Quality
Cut 100 cm² GSM circular sample cutter swatch and weigh on digital scale. Must fall within ±5% of specified weight (e.g. 190–210 GSM for 200 GSM spec).
Compare sample against approved master Lab Dip under calibrated D65 daylight, TL84 store light, and incandescent point light. Delta E < 0.8.
Run 3 wash-and-tumble-dry test cycles at 40°C. Length shrinkage < 5%, width shrinkage < 4%, side-seam torque / spirality < 4%.
Perform AATCC 8 dry and wet crocking tests. Grade 4 minimum dry crocking; Grade 3–4 wet crocking for dark navy and black dyes.
Inspect body fabric under overhead inspection light. Zero missing knit loops, continuous vertical needle streaks, or oil stains.
04
Trims, Hardware & Embellishments
Verify label is centered on back neck, perfectly level (±2 mm), correct size tab attached, and ultrasonic edges smooth against bare skin.
Confirm: 100% Cotton (or exact fiber blend), "Made in India", ASTM/ISO care symbols, wash temperature, and brand importer RN/business address.
Coordinates match tech pack (±5 mm). Artwork passes 5 wash cycles with zero cracking, peeling, or dye bleeding into cotton base.
Cord length balanced on both sides (110–120 cm). Metal aglets firmly crimped (pass 90 N pull test). Brass eyelets securely clamped into fused backing.
YKK/certified zipper operates smoothly without snagging on placket fabric. Top and bottom stops firmly crimped without sharp burrs.
05
Packaging, Barcodes & Export Shipping Marks
100% of finished garments passed through calibrated conveyor needle detector (9-point calibration test) to ensure zero needle fragments remain.
Polybag has printed legal multilingual suffocation warning and 6 mm punched air-release holes to prevent carton ballooning during transit.
Polybag barcode and hangtag barcode scan cleanly with 2D barcode scanner, matching exact SKU, colorway, and size code.
5-ply heavy corrugated cartons printed with PO number, style, size breakdown, carton number (e.g. 1 of 40), and 2x silica gel desiccant packs inside.
